The Basics

This picturesque neighborhood is best experienced on foot, and tour choices run the gamut from general or historical to haunted. The former typically feature popular highlights such as the historic Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, famous antebellum houses, and the eclectic shops and restaurants of Magazine Street; meanwhile, the latter includes paranormal tales of the neighborhood where Interview with a Vampire, Dracula 2000, and American Horror Story: Coven were filmed. Some driving tours combine seeing the sights by private vehicle with stops at top attractions.

New Orleans Garden District Walking Tour Including Lafayette Cemetery No. 1
Very interesting Garden District tour! Sad about not being able to go into the Lafayette Cemetery #1, but not the tour agencies fault. Our guide, Angie, was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and a great guide! Loved her enthusiasm and passion for the garden district!

New Orleans Garden District Walking Tour
I loved seeing all the beautiful homes in the Garden district and hearing about the history of the families who built or lived in them. Seeing the celebrity homes and especially the Manning home was a highlight for me being that I am an Ole Miss alum. Jackie, our guide was full of wonderful stories about the homes which made the tour all the more worth it!

Walking Tour in New Orleans Garden District
Erin was an excellent tour guide; Both architecturally and Historically knowledgeable. She was engaging with the large group; her Personality and comedic timing combined with her knowledge to make her quite an excellent tour guide. She monitored our group safety warning us about New Orleans sidewalks and group safety as well. I would highly recommend her if you want to enjoy a tour and also get excellent information about New Orleans.
