The tour must depart as scheduled to stay on time and keep with the ferry schedule, therefore we unfortunately cannot wait for late arrivals. A small delay of even 5 or 10 minutes could set the tour back 20 to 30 minutes. Please plan to arrive at the meeting point AT LEAST 15 to 30 minutes or more prior to scheduled departure to compensate for any travel delays on the day of your tour. Once the guide departs we cannot guarantee that guests who haven't checked in will be able to join the tour. Meeting point is at Starbucks where breakfast, coffee, tea etc. are available for purchase.

I went on this tour with a friend who was visiting out of town. We both loved it! Our guide, Jim, was super knowledgeable and very friendly. He also had a great sense of humor which made his stories about what we were seeing more interesting. I would highly recommend this tour and Jim as guide!

Great time, it sucked when I found out it was $23 but the tour guide (Marc) was so sweet and knowledgeable, it was worth the $65 and the only reason why I put 2 stars instead of 1 star. Something to mention that is not on the website, you will pass through TSA-level security, so don’t bring your pepper spray/ tasers. This wasn’t mentioned to me and I, a 24 year old traveling through NYC alone, was astounded that I had to toss my safety device because I was not told I can’t bring it. I hope they update the site to mention that because that’s a huge liability if someone gets injured afterwards because they had to toss their pepper spray because they were not told to not bring it. “Well, that’s common sense!” I’m from a city that’s notorious for their boats and beaches and I’ve been traveling on boats for years and I never went through TSA unless it’s for a cruise/plane. Please update the site to mention the security.

Hi thanks for visiting with us and I appreciate your feedback. The difference between the $23.50 and the $64.99 tour price that you paid accounts for the guiding services plus the commissions we pay to list the tour for sale on this site. I'm sorry that you lost your pepper spray but the following is listed on the tour description page under the section Additional Information, while it does not specifically mention pepper spray it does say the following regarding weapons and a security check: "All guests must pass through airport-style security screening. One before boarding the ferry, the second before entering the pedestal. Guests are advised to plan accordingly. No weapons, knives, scissors, etc. will be allowed. There is no opportunity to check prohibited items before the first screening. They will be confiscated with no opportunity to retrieve them." I have already updated the information to include pepper spray as per your suggestion. Thank you again for visiting with us and taking the time to leave your feedback.

Worst tour

Worst tour ever, the tour guide was bossy and scream all the time, never take this tour, better to do the trip by your self.

Thanks for visiting with us and I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy the trip. I value all feedback and I would like to find out more about your experience to see if there are opportunities to improve for our future guests. I hope you will call or email me at the number on your voucher to share more detail but for now I would like to address your specific concerns. In general a guide must speak at a higher than usual volume to ensure they are heard by everyone in the group. A visit to the Statue of Liberty requires us to ride the ferry 3 times and we set the expectation that the tour, which includes the guided portion of the tour plus free time for photos, snacks, the museum and restrooms, will last a specific amount of time. The ferry runs on a set schedule and even a 5 minute delay could result in a missed boat and set the tour back by 30 minutes. Many guests plan their other tours or activities for the rest of the day around that timing. So we must keep the tour on schedule, that responsibility falls to the guide and my be perceived as bossy at times. I hope this explanation helps and please remember your feedback and suggestions are important as I'm always trying to improve the overall experience. Please don't hesitate to call or email if you feel that what you experienced is more than what is outlined here.
