Sir up the steel fires of knowledge with George from Pittsburgh
Phyllis_S
, May 2021
George is an outstanding tour guide. Informative about steel making in the Pittsburgh area. His stories make the trip enjoyable. Well worth the two hours. Wish we had more time. Learn about Pittsburgh when you take the tour.

Hangin' with a crew like yours was an invigorating way to start the Weekend. Great attitude, perfect background to compliment our time together... And I love the image of the "steel fires of knowledge". Can I use it? Thank you for the review and for letting me introduce you and your colleagues to the Steel and Electric Valleys.

Aw come on, Jim. If people know Mike Fink already, nobody will need to know me. Seriously, I'm glad you got a lot out of the Tour. It was my pleasure. Thank you for the review. I very much appreciate your compliments.

City History Tour
Wells
, Apr 2021
My family really enjoyed this tour. My boys asked tons of questions and George gave them bits of history each time. This made the tour for us, because we have had bad experiences in the past with sarcastic answers or nonsense after numerous questions. Not a problem here! The guide knew his stuff and explained why things happened. The tour was done in the guides vehicle. It was nice to look at things without having to drive or navigate! You don't actually go into a mill. Most have been torn down. You are taken around to different sites and given history lesson about what was there. Tour takes you over/throw multiple bridges and tunnels and each has a story. Drive by many beautiful Churches and through Carnegie's planned city. History lovers paradise.

Great local history never heard before

Really enjoyed the entire tour. George did a great job presenting the historical information in a very interesting manner. He also knew the history of the valley incredibly well. George presented the information in a fun and easy to understand way. More room in the vehicle would have been preferred.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Tour, David. The pressure was on with four men in the car from the area who knew a lot about Pittsburgh even before the Tour started. I am especially pleased I could add to your knowledge, understanding, and perspective. And I learned a thing or two which was news to me. Rail-train? Thank you and your friends for that.

Pitts Steel through the eyes of George..!!

What a trip!! This journey of knowing and seeing Pittsburg has been a super existing one and one with many a stories and surprises we don’t know about. George, our tour guide is brilliant. He brings you along this Journey of the Pittsburg Steel Industry History, what he calls old money with such a rich experience, and narration , one that you can relate to very easily. My kids and better half we also immersed in this journey and enjoyed every one bit. To add to the story is the personal History that George has to the city, the steel industries of the past and his personal family. We were extremely glad that we we shown around the city by George. Super experience. !! And to top it, even on short notice, he arranged for us things that only he could..and if he is reading this he will understand what I am saying. 😃 - Rajesh, Vrushali, Keya and Neel

Great history lesson right before your eyes

If you love history this is an awesome tour. Learned so much about history and the importance of Pittsburgh to WWII and so many other significant historical events. I did not know for example how Pittsburgh is playing a key roll in the next technological revolution of driverless cars. It blew my mind and even changed the way I am approaching my current investment strategy. It was well worth the money. My wife and I loved it. 😊

O-oh, I hope you didn't receive any "bum steers" on our Tour. If it proves to be financially helpful, I'll expect a complimentary six-pack of Iron City. If it goes south, I'll blame it on something else. Seriously, thank you for letting me show you Pittsburgh and talk about the continuing evolution of the City. GSTD

Mon Valley Steel Tour
John
, Aug 2020
George Debolt was a fantastic tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history he was describing. We had a great trip down the Mon Valley through the history of steel, electricity, and America!

I appreciate the review, John. It is rare to have a guest come to the Mon Valley equipped with as much knowledge, background, and interest as you had. Consequently, it was a wonderfully engaging morning for me as well. Thank you. Regards to your wife.
