This trip should have been cancelled! Other tours were. Wind was so bad that flights were getting cancelled. The boot of the bus wouldn't open so we were unable to buy crampons to help on the super icey trails. Very scary experience and the tour guide rushed off and didn't care that people were not comfortable. Got to the blue lagoon to be told they were closing in an hour so we had limited time to enjoy the lagoon, was mostly rushing to get changed. Only reason this has 2 stars is because I do think it would be a good tour given the right weather conditions.

The hike was stunning, the tour guide was very enthusiastic and encouraging all the way, and relaxing at the blue lagoon was for sure the perfect end to this amazing tour. Even when we got stuck due to bad weather he exhausted all his resources to get us home safely and made sure we all had everything we needed! This tour was definitely the highlight of our trip!!

The trip was amazing a bit of a scary bus ride but lots of fun, we had chance to stock up on food for the trip which was great, Simon was an amazing guide the places we went and his knowledge the hot chocolate was lovely, it's not an easy walk but perfectly followed by afternoon in lagoon and the coach driver was a very good driver in Sometimes difficult conditions

Our tour guide Tom was the highlight of this tour, adding a great genuine dialogue to the wonderful landscape of Iceland. He navigated us brilliantly through the unholy blistery conditions. Would highly recommend this tour, even though the volcano has become dormant. The blue lagoon was the perfect way to end the (not too difficult) hike. You might even be so lucky to get more time there.

Iceman/Asgeir was an incredible tour guide, super knowledgable and funny - made the day really memorable. The hike was amazing, with the most beautiful view. Walking on the lava fields was so cool! Especially knowing it had erupted only two months ago. Going to the Blue Lagoon afterwards was the perfect treat after the rainy windy hike! But it was was our tour guide who truly made the day for me, the best tour guide I had while I was in Iceland ☺️

Had a great tour with Iceman10! Bustravel Iceland were very professional, they arrived at the exact times they said they were going to, the tour was well planned and thought out giving exactly enough time at each stop off with a few extra 'special nuggets' thrown in by our guide.
This particular tour was made even more special for us as my boyfriend proposed at the Blue Lagoon and Iceman10 made us feel very special when we got back onto the minibus.
Having completed tours with several different companies during our stay, we CANNOT fault Bustravel Iceland and would 100% recommend them.
Thank you for making the first day of our holiday so special.

The hike up mountain was a challenge.
Our group varied in age from 10- 75. Our guide emphasized we shouldl go at our own pace so all felt comfortable. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Although the volcano was not active mother nature was on display everywhere.
The Blue Lagoon was relaxing and rejuvenating.
A perfect combination.

The picture used for this activity is misleading cause it has nothing to do with reality and most likely it’s for another photoshopped picture, the reality is you will hike to a hill with a view to the previous passage of lava but way far from a crater or an active volcan, once those expectations are set, it’s a nice tour and the guide is Hillarous entertaining and super Humaid and intellectual

So 1st thing— the tour guide Simon was excellent! Can’t say enough good about him. The tour itself is a good plan but be warned the volcano view is highly dependent on weather conditions. It rained for us and we saw nothing. Walked ALOT and saw nothing but fog… the blue lagoon was great and well organized. Also tour doesn’t end until about 18:30 so keep in mind when planning.
