THE perfect start to our stay in Iceland. Our guide Thomas was so friendly and knowledgeable and covered so much history and quirky trivia. The tips on saving money when eating out (lunch not dinner) and where to shop stood us in great stead for the rest of the trip. Cant recommend enough.

Lovely to explore Reykjavik with a wonderful guide like Erik. Very informative and was great as it was just my husband and I on the tour.
Viator didn’t update their description of the tour and apparently lunch was not supposed to be included. Tour was excellent but I would never book with Viator again. Better to come to Iceland and book through hotel as their description and advice is correct.

Wonderful tour to introduce Reykjavik pn day one! Met our guide Martin at an easy to find location. We walkes all over the town, our guide went over the history of the area, gave us a glimpse at local politics, and lots of advice on things to do. I hope I can tour with this company again before I leave!

it was just OK. Although my guide was very knowledgeable I felt she she was just interested when I ask questions. First of all when we met in front of the church and we went in I didn’t realize we were going to the tower because she didn’t tell me I was inside the church taking pictures next thing I knew she was gone and then the person asked me for a ticket and I thought that was included but I didn’t get one with her and she didn’t wait for me. So I went up to the tower believing that’s where they went and when I was up to the tower I was taking more pictures and she left again without informing me that she was leaving to meet again in front of the church.Although informative it certainly wasn’t worth the money

Its very hard to understand your review due to few paragraphs and full stops.
The VIP tour begins officially at 10am but usually a few minutes later until everyone is present. Whilst waiting for the last guest to arrive you have approx. 5 minutes of spare time to go inside the church. No need to panic, its just a simple message from the guide that you must have misunderstood.
The guide was waiting for you outside and never went into the church nor to the tower. Furthermore, she had not begun the tour until you came, but you were the last to come out. There is always someone last to show and that is no reason to feel unwelcome.
We are glad to hear that you found the guide knowledgable and I can assure you she is very enthusiastic about her job.
For future travellers on a budget, please see our "free" tour to join a bigger group for less price.
