It was an incredible experience with breathtaking landscapes. The staff was so kind and professional, a special mention has to go to the ginger girl from Estonia , very knowledgeable and funny ( would be good to know her Instagram :) ).

You shouldn't leave iceland without experiencing an animal that has been so uniquely protected and bred over millenias

An amazing adventure and I'd of regretted not going on this tour. Iceland horses really are amazingly unique and everything revolving around them is just so different! The Tour was well organized. The pick up and drop off was bang on time and the guides are so insightful. I learned more about everything I can eat from the trees and plants than anything else.. We ate our way through the tour on pine Tips. For anyone who loves riding but doesn't enjoy trotting... The tölt is the most fun you can have. The horses are so fast but it's so smooth that you won't get your head around it. My horse was perfect for me too. Thank you Frau for showing me a great ride and a very fun posting in trot.

This was such an excellent tour! Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the lava fields we explored were outlandishly beautiful. The experience of tölting on an Icelandic horse was so unique. I was only sad not to get more pictures!

Great for first time riders

Amazing first time experience riding a horse. My horse, Von, was very gentle and was very well trained to follow the horse in front of him. I was a little nervous to begin with but as time went by it was definitely less nerve wracking. Pick up was smooth and the guides were very knowledgeable. If you want to hear more about red lava be sure to ask them about it. They even helped each one of us take pictures with our horses (and with your group if you’re with someone) in front of some red lava rocks.

Absolutely fantastic ! The guides Mel and Itti were lovely, my horse was sweet and easy to ride. We did plenty of tolting and the scenery of the lava fields was unreal ! Ps - If you are concerned about weather they have full rain and snow suits. It rained on our ride and I was perfectly comfortable

Beautiful morning riding in iceland!

We were picked up promptly from our hotel a s taken the short distance to the stables. The staff provided us with hats, rain/snow gear and we were saddled up very quickly. The horses were all easy to ride and we could tell they were trained very well. We rode to a beautiful lava field where we took photos. On the way back, we also were able to gallop some for short distances. Upon returning to the stable, we were offered tea, coffee or hot chocolate to warm up before heading back to our hotel. It was a wonderful experience which I would highly recommend to others!

Great experience. Lovely happy animals. Punctual and easy transfers. They DO NOT PROVIDE GLOVES!!! The page says it does but do not believe this, they have no gloves available and it is COLD. Would 100% recommend anyone to do this experience its great fun, the views were lovely and it felt truly connected to nature. Not many photo opportunities so try to soak it all into your memories!

Choose this over whale watching!
Angela_H
, Mar 2022
Whale watching was canceled and I had booked this instead (the weather was pretty windy/snowy) and I was initially just grateful to be able to do the activity. Pick-up and drop-off was smooth. Helmets and warm suits provided (I didn't use), hot chocolate/tea/coffee afterward. Pictures were taken of every group in front of the lava fields but otherwise it wasn't safe to have your phone out. Icelandic horses are unique in that they are isolated. They were so tame, so well-behaved, and perfectly suitable for beginners. I wish there had been more information provided during the tour on the different gaits that made the horses unique. We did pick up speed at times, but I'm not sure if it was just a trot or the tolt. I heard many people say re: whale watching for 3 hours that they didn't see anything. Instead, you could spend ~2 hours actually riding an Icelandic horse! Picked up at around 1pm, 30min ride, started tour 2pm, ended and back in the city by ~5-ish. Highly recommend!

Do not book this horseback riding tour. The tour operator was very rude and I would not recommend them just based on their customer service. We were in Iceland during a series of bad weather and they were uncooperative and also very rude. Maybe they’re nicer to horses.

Nice people, well organized, timely. The horses are very interesting. We went in a rainy/snowy windstorm. We still enjoyed it but dress WARM, especially have good gloves.

We really enjoyed our horse ride through the Lava Fields. The Icelandic horses were so friendly and well behaved and the school was very well run providing horses suitable to the group's ability and warm weather clothing if required.

A short spin from the city to this magnificent place. Staff were friendly & horses adorable. They are so well behaved, they move in a line & know exactly what they are supposed to do. They follow the leader. Most of our group had little experience but managed fine. The lava fields were snow covered but it's was a beautiful location. They stop off for a photo op. Then speed things up with a trot on the way back. Again the horses didn't put a foot wrong & the inexperienced group had no problems. Spectacular scenery & the ride was great fun. Highly recommend for riders of little to lots of experience. Every holiday should have one day on horse back..
